Need a fun science activity to challenge your students? Look no further than this escape room activity. Escape rooms are a fun way to teach the 5th Grade Science TEKS while encouraging collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking. Students will work together to show their knowledge of uses of energy to be able to turn the power back on (see mission below).
This escape room contains 5 stations with 4 questions each station (20 questions total). Students must answer the 4 questions and use the decoder to decipher out the code. They type the codes into a Google Form to move onto the next station. The final page will give them a verification code to complete their escape.

The mission...
The lights in the school flicker and go off. It is pitch black. All your teacher has are flashlights to see. A voice over the intercom instructs you on how to get the power back going again. It tells you to use your knowledge of the uses of energy to complete the 5 stations and decipher the codes and they will turn the power back on. Hurry and good luck!
